La cultura no se vende
La marcha que hubo hoy entre el Planetario y la Plaza de Bolívar en Bogotá tuvo un poco de Caminata por la solidaridad. Al fin y al cabo es la única oportunidad que uno tiene para ver a «la gente del arte» ahí por la calle, marchando —es decir, siendo gente «de a pie»— y gritando alevosas consignas. Y de paso unos cuantos sapos —entre los que me incluyo, por razones puramente jodenciales— que quién sabe si estaban ahí por la lluvia, por la ciclovía o por apoyar la causa.
¡Ah! ¡La causa! ¡La cultura! «La cultura no se vende», fue la frasecita que más boliaron. Yo pensaba que a los artistas no les pagaban porque el arte siempre se considerada como una vaina de segunda, prescindible, accesoria, etc. Pero resulta que es por convicción, porque ellos no quieren venderse, cosa que sin duda es sinónimo de prostituirse. Los que piden plata en la calle «por amor al arte» no son artistas sino que se creen artistas. Si fueran artistas no se venderían.

El espíritu consumer de estas personas les hace desear más la platica que van a quitar que lo que dicen sobre la omisión de nuestra cultura y bla, bla, bla (¡Ahora si se nos despertó el patriotismo!). El camino al infierno está lleno de buenas intenciones… Es algo que ocurre en la pantalla de la televisión. Las manifestaciones y sus manifestantes desparecen al cambiar el canal.

Cómo hizo para ver a César Mora? Pensé que había muerto ahogado en ese mar artístico.
Y el francés? Si el está acá defendiendo nuestra cultura como inmigrante, viniendo a trabajar Colombia porque los inmigrantes de allá le quitaron el trabajo, pero esos inmigrantes de allá no tienen oportunidades, y entonces, el si tierne oportunidades acá, como inmigrante? No entiendo? Le habán quemado el carro?
Dago y N.N.,. si estaban, los vi en el noticiero (personalmente yo quería foto con N.N. y con una que otr obra de arte de esas que contrata RCN y que a las dos semana se cree artista).
Que tengan miedo que se les va a acabar la chanfa por con el mediocre “oligopolio” que han armado, vaya y venga, pero que nos intenten meter el cuento de la cultura… yo creía que esos “artistas” eran leídos pero veo que no. La cultura es mucho más que la novela “la tormenta”, y lo grave es que ellos si son importantes en nuestro desarrollo cultural, pero no saben como.

STiRER, esa fue la que quedo de terceras en el último protagonistas de Novela. Era la que mejor actuaba, pero la sacaron por convivencia.
Y hablando de identidad nacional, televisión y arte… ¿Qué significa eso de traer remakes de novelas nacionales hechos por la televisión mexicana? Ver a alguien que no es amparito haciendo el papel de “En cuerpo Ajeno” es muy raro y ahora van a traer “Las Juanas” sin los cantantes de Luna Verde.
En serio, ¿eso es identidad nacional o no? No tengo ni idea si uno se debe sentir orgulloso o ofendido.

Esta buenísimo. A mi me wencantó una señora actriz de esas que siempre hacen de mamá o de suegra mala diciendo algo así como “es que nosotros no estamos peliando solo por las novelas. Sino porque nuestros hijos también puedan disfrutar de nuestra música, de nuestros libros” es una pena que los full de televisión sean tan corticos porque yo si hubiera querido que me explicarán esa parte de cómo nuestra literatura nacional (digamos García Marquez) se va a ver afectado por la competencia desleal de los libros de Paul Auster por ejemplo en el marco del TLC?

Vi al Juglar tomando fotos y traté de escapármele todo lo posible, pero al final no tuve suerte. Mejor dicho, tenía que elegir, para librarme de salir tenía que renunciar a contarme entre los artistas. Lo que me dejó triste fue no ver nada “alevoso”.

Alrededor de la protesta y las industrias televisivas hay situaciones que darían para una comedia de enredo: muchos actores ya estaban sin trabajo antes del TLC, conseguirán trabajo gracias al TLC, pero para tener acceso a ese trabajo tienen que participar en la manifestación, que es la ocasión de encontrarse con el amigo influyente, invitarlo a algo, contarle un rumor…

Por las fotos se ve que fue todo un plan centruno de domingo. La única vez que me he apuntado a algo así fue cuando el entierro de Jaime Garzón. Salí pitado de la Plaza de Bolívar cuando me vi rodeado de vendedores de Bonice y chicharrón totiado.

Es cierto, después de la incómoda ventilación de trapitos sucios, me había alejado un tiempo de su bloc y veo que me perdí una buena serie de posts.
Con el título del escrito (y las primeras líneas) creí que se trataba de una marcha de solidaridad por la HJCK para exigirle a Caracol-Dago-Prisa que no la sacara del dial.
Insisto en lo que ya he dicho, y no más restringiéndome a las novelas, ¿cuál cultura? ¿Y toda la serie de novelas mejicanas que dan por la tarde?
¡¡Ojalá el TLC sirva para permitir que series tipo 24 o Prison Break o The L Word, nos lleguen recientes y no cuando en los yunáis ya van 3 temporadas más adelante. Y para que los perezosos creativos colombianos hagan mejores trabajos.
No entendí bien, ¿cuál identidad en Pasión de Gavilanes? ¿El estilo ranchero? ¿La música norteña? ¿Los 3 protagonistas extranjeros con pseudo-acento mejicano? Definitivamente, soy un inculto.

Sin entrar en el detalle de quién, cómo y por qué asistió a la manifestación quería aportar mi postura sobre el tema de la misma (lejana a la par que solidaria).
Hay que vigilar mucho con lo que se firma y no se firma en el TLC, sí, pero concretamente la cultura es un tema MUY delicado. La producción cultural NO debe ser tratada como un producto más, pues el precio de perder cierta cuota de mercado representa mucho más que sustituír postobon por fanta o chicha por cerveza. El peligro es que dicha cultura, en este caso la colombiana, deje de SER y se convierta en una simple colonia de la metrópolis, en este caso los USA.
Déjenme decir que una situación bien similar es la que vivimos cada día aquí a orillas del Mediterráneo. Aquí la pugna se lidia entre la cultura castellana y la catalana y siempre que desde el gobierno local (la Generalitat por ejemplo) se intentan medidas de protección y promoción del catalán el bando castellano desata los perros de la guerra por, entre otras cosas, atentar contra las sacrosantas leyes del mercado libre.
En fin, que sigan con la lucha y tengan fortuna y firmeza ante los gringos.

PD 1: Resulta irónico que los gringos se emperren tanto en quitar CASI todos los aranceles. Casi, por que los que protegen a SUS productores bien que los mantienen.
PD 2: No he visto ninguna bandera colombiana en la manifestación. Esto me hace pensar que los colombianos tienen TAN clara su identidad nacional que no necesitan hacer bandera de ella cada fin de semana como nos pasa en España, nótese la ironía.

Estoy mas confundido que la candidata del Choco con la pregunta del Escamoso (para que vean que yo tambien preservo la indentidad cultural viendo lo mas selecto de ella: el reinado), sobre estos asepctos:
a) Que carajos hacie un respetado y acido bloguero como Ud. en medio de tanta farandula? Lo de las fotos me suena a excusa.
b) Que carajos hacia el circunspecto Jaime Ruiz en ese mismo desfile?
c) Es la blogsfera, dada la participacion de tan insignes personajes, parte de la identidad cultural?
d) Los de Soho no mandaron representacion?
e) No hubo delegacion de Padres e Hijos? De no sr así, la identidad cultural de nuestra t.v. estaba completamente desvalorizada.

Juglar (y Vopa): Como sabiamente decía nuestro alcalde, “la democracia se defiende con más democracia”. Eso mismo pasa con la manifestación, que más que un acto de defensa de nuestra identidad cultural es una muestra de nuestra identidad cultural, particularmente del género que mejor hemos cultivado y que yo llamo “la épica del bochinche”, no sólo una forma de participación de miles de extras sino sobre todo el mejor negocio que hay en Colombia (por ejemplo si sumamos lo que obtiene un doctor en unos cuarenta años cobrando pensión por haber “trabajado” veinte). ¿Y qué hacía yo allí? Pues resistir a la exclusión, ¿no teníamos que ir los artistas? Se es artista en cuanto se participa en una pieza genuina.

Juglar, este artículo está muy bueno, aunque no dejó muy en claro cuántos pelagatos se tragaron el ridículo cuento de eso de que defendiendo la mexicanización y mayamización de la telebasura nacional, se defiende lo que sea que quien sea crea entender que es “identidad nacional”.
Desde que surgió el primer grito de defender la “identidad nacional” yo identifiqué al auténtico promotor de ese despelote vergonzoso: la COALICIÓN POR LA DIVERSIDAD CULTURAL, una entidad creada por Gabriel García Márquez y otros dos o tres mamertos rancios que se oponen rotundamente al TLC y a todo tratado que obligue a los “artistas” nacionales a tener que desarrollar esa cosita fastidiosa e innecesaria que más allá de las tres montañitas que aislan a Colombia del planeta Tierra es llamada CREATIVIDAD.

Yo no tengo posición sobre el TLC porque no sé nada al detalle. Por quienes lo defienden y quienes lo combaten, me encuentro intuitivamente más cerca de quienes lo combaten. La vaina con este cuentico de la cultura, en particular, al que le he hecho seguimiento casi desde el comienzo de este blog, es que es una impostura políticamente correcta y perfectamente socialbacana que en realidad busca salvar sus propios traseros. La gente tiene todo el derecho de disgustarse si les dicen que va a haber una obligación de que el 70% de lo que pasen por TV sea extranjero sencillamente PORQUE LES QUITAN TRABAJO. Entonces que defiendan su trabajo y no la supuesta identidad o cultura, que no son más que palabras muy rimbombantes pero que en el fondo -y esta también es una impresión- jamás se han visto plasmadas en la pantalla. Creo que con o sin TLC, la producción de televisión colombiana seguirá apostándole a las mismas fórmulas chimbas que hoy podemos ver.

Sepa, Juglar, el origen de la marchita esa. Nadie discute que la preocupación de esta gente es si su empleo se seguirá justificando o no el próximo año, y que lo de la “identidad cultural” es una falacia demasiado barata.
Pero hace unos meses, cuando apenas comenzó a aparecer en TV una propaganda extremadamente sospechosa, encontré por ahí unos panfleticos que hasta hace poco que los gremios de TV empezaron a hacer su bulla, cobraron mucho sentido.
¿Recuerda esa propaganda en la que una fulana “Coalición por la Diversidad Cultural” decía que si el comercio estuviera por encima de la música, el vallenato sonaría como pop? Bueno, para nadie es un secreto que si en Colombia hay una música que está asentada en todo un emporio económico, es precisamente el vallenato a través de las mafias vinculadas con el narcotráfico y el paramilitarismo en Valledupar y la Guajira principalmente.
Por ahí buscando encontré algunas declaraciones de esta fulana “coalición”, y encontré que era particularmente activa en marchas anti-TLC, y que entre sus fundadores estaban el Gabo y Oscar Collazos, reconocidos militantes socialistas (de esos que lamentablemente mezclan política y arte para mal).
Desde entonces fue que surgió el gremio de TV a quejarse porque ya no veríamos taaaaaaaaaaaaaanta telebasura mayamera y mexicanizada hecha en Colombia-Miami, sino producciones originales hechas en el país donde fueron pensadas por primera vez.
Y si el TLC le quita trabajo a una gentecita que tiene a 44 millones de personas embrutecidas con una pésima producción repetitiva, novelera y farandulera, la tentación para que buena parte de estos 44 millones lo apoye es muy grande. Por eso tienen la necesidad de adornar su miedo con este cuento tan barato. Al fin y al cabo no encontraron y dudo que puedan encontrar, un mejor argumento para convencernos de perdonarles el empleo a pesar de que nos agredan a diario con el producto de éste.

Por cierto, ¿no les parece irónico que una cosa llamada “Coalición para la Diversidad Cultural” apoye la difusión de un género musical que aniquiló a todos los demás géneros autóctonos y limita la proliferación de géneros foráneos?

Ah, sí. Esa propaganda también decía “Pedro no sería escamoso”. En general todo el cuento es muy chimbo, al menos en lo relacionado con la televisión. Los puntos que establece la declaración que usted cita son muy válidos pero dificilmente se aplican, así que es muy fácil pensar que son unos hablamierda que no saben qué decir. Comenzando porque si usted dice que lo que usted hace (arte, supuestamente) no se vende (porque es cultura… entonces ahí uno sabe que están confundiendo arte con cultura, desde el punto de vista antropológico) entonces uno no sabe qué hacen ellos en la vida. O tal vez llegue a identificarse con esa gente que hace las cosas desintersadamente. Yo sencillamente pienso que si la cabeza visible de eso es Dago García, no puede ser ninguna cosa seria. Ojalá se defendieran haciendo cosas muy buenas, pero entonces nos veríamos nuevamente en el debate de que si el gusto -que es lo que rige todo este cuento- es bueno o es malo y eso da para unas bizantinadas. Por ahora lo más importante es demostrar que estas marchas son un montaje chimbísimo, si acaso ya no se hicieron hara kiri.
Muy chistoso el error que le sale y lamento decirle que, por lo que sé, usted es el único.

Me niego a pensar que el error es una alergia a mi IP por parte del servidor, así que ahora intento con Internet Explorer y efectivamente, el mensaje pasó sin errores.
Yo no me preocuparía demasiado por desarmar la argucia barata de los televisivos. He visto muchas opiniones sueltas y creo que el 99.9% (por no exagerar no digo que el 100%) están de acuerdo con que la bulla no tiene pies ni cabeza y que la preocupación de esta gente es su chequera y nada más.
Así que los únicos que se creyeron el cuento fueron los actores y sus abuelitas.

Pues me parece muy buena la critica y exponer una opinion sobre las ya existentes estaria de sobra, pero cuando Caracol y RCN acabaron con las programadoras pequeñas ahi si nadie dijo nada, a estos seudo artistas son los idiotas utiles de estas compañias que de ahora en adelante tendran que recurrir a los creativos, a los diseñadores graficos a montar una puesta en escena convincente, a trabajar con calidad pues la competencia beneficia al usuario que es el televidente.

Me parece terrible que la gente se rasgue las vestiduras por un pantallazo. Será que al señor Mallarino no le basta estar dentro del staff de telemundo? Y Julito (el menso de Betty) que man tan patético, ya de por si es una farsa, que se quede presentando resultados de loterias o comerciales de doña gallina. Y desde cuando se tiene un sentido de pertenencia a la patria? si ellos mismo vendieron el patrimonio cultural hace tiempo, que reclaman ahora?
