La extradición como destierro
Hoy fue extraditado a Estados Unidos «Simón Trinidad», un importante comandante de las FARC. Cepeda Ulloa, en una entrevista que dio a CityTV explicó que la razón del traslado era «el tráfico de drogas y la retención forzosa y de ninguna manera el ser insurgente». Su aclaración no está de más.
Es probable que algunos, tal vez muchos, colombianos, a juzgar por lo que he leído en cartas a medios impresos, crean que la extradición es una suerte de destierro, es decir, que la sola extradición es el castigo y que, como tal, sería uno de los más fuertes. En ese sentido, tales compatriotas
—entre los que no dudo en incluir al benemérito presidente— pensarían que «Trinidad» se va a Estados Unidos porque es un terrorista y Colombia no quiere esa gente mala en su territorio. Y de esto se sigue que Estados Unidos sería un amable prestador de servicios carcelarios. Tal vez otros, de manera menos ingenua, no piensen que se trata de un destierro, sino que en Estados Unidos sí les va a tocar duro y no van a poder seguir haciendo sus fechorías.
Pero volviendo a la ingenuidad, supongo que muchos estarán diciendo «¡Eso! ¡Y que los extraditen a todos por hijueputas y antipatriotas!» así como, cuando pasa algo, dicen «¡Aj! ¡Deberían extraditarlos a todos por hijueputas y antipatriotas!».
